Missing Pieces Community Development primarily provides mass transit solutions that increase the mobility, quality of life, safety, and self-sufficiency for low-income residents.
Our complete range of outreach programs helps to reduce crime, provide access to quality healthcare, healthy foods, and higher paying worksites. The bulk of this outreach is provided through reliable, high-quality transportation services. These services are provided free of charge to residents.
Missing Pieces is a 501 ( c ) 3 corporation, as well as a USDOT registered nationwide motor carrier. This designation provides oversight of our safety record, tracks incidents and ensures motor carrier compliance.
One of our priorities is to preserve the safety of senior citizens, individuals with disabilities, low-income residents, and students. The recent nationwide opioid epidemic within our community has increased crimes against our most vulnerable residents. We provide mass transit solutions that increase their mobility, quality of life, safety, and self-sufficiency, especially for elderly and low-income residents.
Other Non-Traditional Programs
Missing Pieces Projects are geared toward improving conflict resolution skills, self-image, self-worth, values, and the safety of our most vulnerable residents. In addition to our local programs, we provide emergency assistance to individuals in crisis and offer relief initiatives for low to moderate income (LMI) individuals. These individuals include but are not limited to the elderly, individuals with disabilities, homeless, veterans, displaced college students, refugees, previously addicted populations and ex-offenders.
We seek to fill the void where much needed programs and emergency assistance do not exist. At Missing Pieces Community Development Corporation, we are "putting communities back together, one piece at a time."
