Epworth Express operated as a pilot program for four years. This impactful program ended on March 31, 2026 due to lack of continued funding. If you need access to Warrick County Deaconess Gateway please call METS Micro 812-562-5011. Formerly, Epworth Express operated Monday - Friday from 6:45 a.m. - 4:45 p.m. Epworth Express not only connected Vanderburgh and Warrick Counties, but it also increased employment, quality healthcare, and quality food accessibility in the Epworth Rd / Ascension St. Vincent / Deaconess Gateway medical corridor.
Epworth Express included transportation to the Evansville VA Clinic and Eastland Mall (Dillard's/JC Penney's back parking lot). Upon entering Warrick County, Epworth Express picked up and dropped off passengers at multiple medical locations and Walmart Super Center.
Heritage Woods and Hamilton Pointe were two senior assisted living locations included as pickup sites. This addition to the route increased mobility, access to healthy food, and multi-county connections for employees, the elderly, low-income residents, and individuals with disabilities.
Epworth Express has discontinued operations from downtown terminal between 6:45 a.m. - 4:45 p.m. Monday - Friday.. We will resume this outreach service when community and financial support are received.
