Gamia Lechelle Stuart Memorial Fund

This special initiative is in memory of Missing Pieces Community Development Corporation's first volunteer, Gamia Lechelle Stuart. Gamia lost her life tragically on December 4, 2022, due to gun and domestic violence. She served seniors and individuals with disabilities within our community effortlessly. Gamia was a bright beam of light. She was called to take care of others. We have created this fund in her honor in order to assist other families in crisis. This fund provides emergency assistance for those recovering from and attempting to escape violent environments. November 9, 2025, would have been Gamia's 40th birthday. We are honoring her with donations of $40, $400, $4000 and $40,000 to The Gamia Lecelle Memorial Fund. Please apply to receive a $500.00 annual scholarship for graduating high-school seniors who continue their education. Applicants are required to have lost a parent/sibling to gun violence, survived domestic violence, and other trauma. The deadline for application is Friday, April 18, 2025. 
Our board of directors will award up to four $500.00 scholarships annually for the life of the fund. The next scholarships will be awarded during school year 2024 - 2025
