MISSION STATEMENT "We are founded to provide high priority outreach programs and emergency assistance to individuals in crisis locally, nationally, and worldwide"
VISION STATEMENT It is our vision that all Missing Pieces Project participants receive the necessary assistance to not only survive but thrive in communities devastated by poverty, crime, and natural disasters.
ORGANIZATION OVERVIEW Missing Pieces Community Development Corporation is a 501 ( c ) 3 organization founded to establish high priority programs within Evansville, Indiana, nationally, and worldwide. Our first priority is to preserve the safety of Senior Citizens, Disabled residents, and Students. The recent opioid epidemic within our community as well as nationwide has increased crimes against our most vulnerable residents. We seek to reduce crime and combat this outbreak through our execution of non-traditional programs.
Missing Pieces C.D.C. has also implemented innovative programs that deter inner city youth from gang activity and crime. We offer programs beginning at early childhood through college admission. After receiving their high school diploma, our graduates will become eligible to work as mentors and volunteers for Missing Pieces C.D.C.
Missing Pieces Projects are geared toward improving conflict resolution skills, self image, self worth, values, and the safety of our most vulnerable residents. In addition to our local programs, we provide emergency assistance to individuals in crisis and offer relief initiatives for low to moderately income (LMI) individuals. These individuals include but are not limited to the elderly, disabled, homeless, veterans, displaced college students, and ex-offenders.
It is our vision that children who participate in Missing Pieces Projects are accepted into accredited colleges or universities upon completion of high school. It is also our vision that every elderly/disabled participant receives assistance with their daily activities. Along with other community partners, MPCDC will assist participants who are homeless or ex-offenders. Our collaborations will help participants acquire skills and job training to become self sufficient through the use of tools that assist in re-entering the workforce and our community.
MPCDC will motivate participants by awarding a stipend upon completion of each level of participation. The stipends will be awarded as a scholarship after graduating high school. These funds may also be applied toward higher education expenses, trade school, apprenticeship expenses or long term housing costs. We seek to fill the void where much needed programs and emergency assistance do not exist. Missing Pieces Community Development Corporation is "putting communities back together, one piece at a time."
